2026 Spring Recital DRESS REHEARSAL AND PHOTOS

WINTERS COMMUNITY CENTER


  • All dancers arrive in full costume at Winters Community Center at 9:30am
  • This is a full dress rehearsal. Dancers will wear their costume, tights and shoes and have hair and makeup done just as it will be for the performance.
  • Class photos will start promptly at 9:30.
  • Full cast will rehearse the Grand Finale. Each dance will then rehearse in show order and be dismissed after they have rehearsed.
  • 4 class parent volunteers are needed during rehearsal and the show to supervise children and usher them to and from the green room. Please email Kate if you are willing to be the class parent.
  • Other volunteers needed to help set up chairs during rehearsal as well as doormen/ticket takers on the morning of the show.
  • Dancers that miss rehearsal will be unable to perform in the show.


COstume Specifications


  • Tights/Shoes: All dancers to wear nude tights, the same as their class dress code. If they are dirty or have rips, please purchase a fresh pair for the show. Their regular class ballet shoes are to be worn for the show. Do not feel the need to purchase new shoes, unless their current pair are too small.
  • Keep costumes hung in a safe place between rehearsal and performance.
  • Makeup: Stage lights wash out dancers' features so a bit of makeup is needed. Lipstick, blush, eyebrow darkening if eyebrows are light, mascara and eyeshadow optional. If wearing eyeshadow, keep neutral tones: no vibrant eyeshadow colors.
  • NO jewelry (stud earrings ok), temporary tattoos, accessories not included with costume or bright nail polish.
  • Hair: neat and slicked back with gel so no fly-aways. Pin all stray hair and long bangs securely so hair stays neat and doesn't move. Short bangs may be worn across forehead - no need to slick back. Style as follows per class:

Monday 4:30 - High bun

Monday 5:30 - High bun

Tuesday 3:30 - High bun

Tuesday 4:30 - High bun

Tuesday 5:30 - Low bun

Tuesday 6:30 - High bun

Thursday 4:30 - High bun

Thursday 5:30 - Half up half down

Thursday 6:30 - High bun
